Head of School Search

St. Clement’s Parish School is looking for a new Head of School to begin service in July 2023.  The search is expected to run through the fall and winter months, hopefully concluding late 2022 or early 2023. In seeking its next Head of School, St. Clement’s is looking for a distinguished, dedicated leader to serve as chief strategist and visionary.  The Head of School will carry on and promote the School’s legacy of academic excellence and spiritual enrichment, embodying the core values, culture, and most importantly, the mission of St. Clement’s Parish School:  Within a nurturing Christian environment, St. Clement’s Parish School promotes each child’s academic, spiritual, moral, artistic, physical, and intellectual growth.

    St. Clement's Parish School is looking for a dynamic and energetic leader to carry the school to the next level of academic excellence and spiritual enrichment.
     
    The Head of School should demonstrate passion, strength, and experience in the following key areas:
    • Faith - Be a committed Christian able to affirm his/her faith as stated in the School’s Affirmation of Faith; be committed to the close partnership between the Church and School; and be an active member of a Christian church.
    • Communication - Effectively communicate and connect with faculty, parents, students and the Board of Trustees through a variety of mediums.
    • Growth - Promote and market the school effectively both locally and regionally by networking with other school heads through appropriate associations and staying up to date on academic advancements.
    • Academics - Provide expertise as a leader in an academic environment. Exemplify knowledge in educational leadership trends and school curriculum.
    • Fundraising - Understand and have experience with the fundraising needs of a private school and be willing to provide leadership and guidance with fundraising efforts.
    • Budgeting - Formulate, implement, and adhere to annual budgets.
    • Strategic planning - Manage long-term growth projects, including planning for facilities improvement.

    To be considered for the Head of School position, a candidate should hold a Master's degree in education or another appropriate area, and demonstrate leadership experience.
     
    It is preferred that candidates live or have lived in the Southwestern region and have an appreciation for this wonderful bi-national community.  Fluency in Spanish is desired but not required.
St. Clement's Parish School is the premier Christian, private school in El Paso, Texas for early childhood, elementary school, and middle school with research-informed and rigorous academics. St. Clement’s Parish School is a mission of the Church of St. Clement, operating under the spiritual oversight of the Church. The School strives to teach the history of mankind in relationship to God and His creation in a Christian community, where the worth and dignity of each child is to be nurtured and developed through spiritual, moral, physical, and intellectual growth. 
 
Established in 1958, St. Clement's Parish School serves over 325 students ranging in age from three-year-olds through eighth grade. St. Clement's Parish School is the only school in El Paso accredited through the prestigious Independent Schools Association of the Southwest. Standing on over 60 years of academic distinction, the school offers students a solid foundation for lifelong learning and excellent preparation for high school and college. With the goal of developing well-rounded students, all three academic divisions of the school emphasize not just academic excellence and faith, but also the importance of fine arts, athletics, physical education, and the value of play, along with a commitment to service outreach and outdoor education.
 
Because of El Paso's location along the border, St. Clement's Parish School is uniquely positioned to have a diverse multi-national student body. The school enrolls children from all over El Paso, nearby Fort Bliss, neighboring New Mexico, and Juarez, Mexico, as well as overseas families who are in the region for work.
Head of School Application Process:
In order to apply, interested candidates should provide a résumé, cover letter highlighting their interest in and fit for the position, a statement of educational philosophy, and a list of three to five professional references with contact information, as a single PDF attachment.
