Parent Council Lunch Program Fast Fact Sheet

Password: Parents of new students will receive an email with student’s Hot Lunch identification number and password.  The password may be changed when you log into the system.  Parents of returning students use the same Hot Lunch identification number and password.  If you have forgotten the number and or password, link to the “Online Lunch Program” (see above) and press “Retrieve User Name/Password” and enter a valid email address.  If the email address you enter is different from the address in the system, contact Caroline North at the email address listed below. 
 
Menus: Option A:  kid-friendly choice     Option B:  healthy alternative
Options include a main entrée, fresh fruit, and healthy side item. 
 
Cost: Small portion* (elementary students) -  $4.95
Large portion* (middle school students/teachers)   - $5.95  
*(Served on 100% biodegradable containers, utensils, and napkins)
 
Order deadline: Lunch orders and payments for lunch orders are due in advance by the 15th of the month.
 
Water or milk: See www.stclements.org and link to the Wildcat Shop or type https://wildcatshop.stclements.org/ to purchase milk and/or water. 
Milk contract is $55.00 per school year.  Water contract is $100.00 per school year.  
 
Forgotten lunch: Students can purchase a hot lunch for $6.95. 
Forgotten lunch charges will be billed to the student’s account. 
Due to their low nutritional value, the school will no longer provide “soup cups.”

Parent Council has listened to the many suggestions you made regarding the Hot Lunch Program and in an effort to improve we have initiated several key changes to our hot lunch service.

We have hired a new catering service to help offer a better assortment of healthy menu items to students for lunch. We hope you and your children enjoy the new caterer and we want you to know we are working hard to provide your child with a quality lunch that tastes great and meets Texas nutritional guidelines. When choosing what to eat for lunch, making a healthy choice is really important. Eating a variety of healthy foods gives you energy to grow, learn and play.

Hot Lunch is supporting the school’s Green Team project to make St. Clement’s School GREEN. We are proud to announce that we will be using 100% biodegradable containers, utensils and napkins. Thanks to our students for encouraging Parent Council to be earth friendly. We realize that the expense per meal had to increase to use more earth friendly products; however the students feel it is a price worth paying to do our part in reducing waste.

Lastly, we will now offer two different serving stations (one will be a portable food kiosk) with two trained service providers at each station to enhance the efficiency of our hot lunch service. Parent Council has also purchased two refrigeration units from which to dispense cold milk and water. It is our goal to allow all students the opportunity to get a great lunch quickly and still have plenty of time to eat. Improving our service and efficiency has also had an effect on the price of hot lunch.

We at Parent Council hope you find these improvements beneficial and graciously thank you for your support of the Hot Lunch Program. We will be eager to hear your feedback.
